Question 400.8 requests an evaluation which denonstrates that the Midland Plant meets the pertinent regulatory requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations. The request is consistent with your discussions of mid-1980 with Mr. H. Denton when similar requests were made of Sequoyah 1 and 2, North Anna, Unit 2, and Farley, Unit 2.
The response of these and other earlier plants, and Enclosure 8 of SECY-81-13 " Systematic Safety Evalua-tion of all Currently Operating Nuclear Pomr Reactors," should provide guidance in detemining those rules and regulations to be addressed. We request your response by Hovember 18, 1981.
