GMcCorkle, NMSS On October 22, 1981 representatives of the U S. Department of Energy and the French govennment, accompanied by NRC representatives, visited the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Plant. Messrs, Weindorfer and Tharpe, DECO employees, conducted a presentation and site tour. I'd like to comend these gentlenen for a very infonnative exhibition and thank PECO for the cooperation displayed during this visit.
As you are aware, the U.S. and French governments have established continuing bilateral discussions regarding nuclear terrorism. This visit to your Peach Bottom facility is one of a series of visits to representative U.S. facilities and is a continuation of U.S. visits to representative French facilities. These visits are an important feature of the U.S.-French bilateral discussions.
Your cooperation in this important international exchange is greatly appreciated.
