Subject:

Crystal River Unit 3 Ducket No. 50-302 Operating License No. DPR-72 Request for Delay of issuance of Technical Specification Change Request No. 37

Dear Mr. Denton:

Florida Power Corporation submitted Technical Specification Change Request No.

37 on March 21,1979. It was subsequently determined that the request may have to be revised due to the findings of Babcock and Wilcox' analysis of allowable high pressure injection (HPI) cycles. These findings are scheduled to be transmitted to Florida Power Corporation in Fe bruary of 1982. Upon receipt of the findings, a determination of the impact upon Change Request No. 37 will be made and action taken accordingly. Therefore, Florida Power Corporation requests that issuance of Technical Specification Change Request No. 37 be delayed pending possible revision.
