STANDBY SHUTDOWN FACILITY (MCGUIRE NUCLEAR STATION, UNITS 1 & 2)
By telephone call to me on October 28, 1981, you indicated that you would be unable to schedule completion of the McGuire SSF review until additional information was received from the licensee, the Duke Power Company. The additional infomation required by the staff was presented as Enclosure No. 2 to our meeting sumary dated September 23,1981 (licensee meeting of September 9,1981).
By letter dated October 21, 1981, the licensee has provided a response to the staff request for additional information.
In addition, the licensee has provided a response to Appendix R Sections III.G; J; III.L; and O.
NRR/DSI/ASB has already been provided with a copy of the licensee's response (See RIDS accession number 81102/0299). For your convenience we are henswith providing you with an additional copy r.d the October 21, 1981 response as well as a set of associated licensee drawings.
Based on our discussion on October 28, 1981, we request that you provide us with a schedule for the completion of your review of the McGuire SSF within seven (7) days of this memorandum.
The technical assignment control nurber for this review is 46753.
