Grand Gulf Nuclear Station, Unit 1 With reference to the operating license application for the captioned nuclear unit, the Director of fluclear Reactor Regulation has made an initial detemina-lf tion of "no significant changes" pursuant to Section 105c(2) of the Atomic
}
Energy Act of 1954, as amended.
In arriving at this detemination, the Director was infomed by the staff of the on-going compliance proceeding involving Mississippi Power & Light Co.
(ItP&L) and the !!unicipal Electric Association of Mississippi. Accordin0 to the staff analysis said proceedings would in all likelihood resolve the problems raised by the staff in its analysis of MP&L's activities since the initial construction pemit antitrust review of the Grand Gulf Nuclear Staticn.
The Director's initial finding is subject to reevaluation if a member of the public requests same in response to publication of this finding in the Federal Register. A copy of the notice that is being transmitted to the Federal Register and a copy of the' staff review are enclosed for your information.
