Inspection 50-213/61-09
This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by I'r. T.H. Snith of ~
this office en July 27 - August 2, August C - 15 and Septerter 2 - 13, 1981,
at the Haddan iicck Plant, Haddan, Connecticut, of activitics authorized by
- iRC License Ilo. DPR-61, and to the discussions of our findings held by
W. T.H. Smith with Mr. R.H. Graves and other nerbers of your staff periodically
during the inspection.
Areas exanined during this inspection are described in the Office of Inspection
anu Enforcement Inspection Report unich is enclosed with this letter. Within
these areas, the inspection consisted of selective exaninations of procedures
i
and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by
the inspcctor.
Within the scope of thi" inspection, no itens of noncorpliance were obscrved.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Comission's regulations, a copy of this
letter and the enclosed inspection' report will be placed in the fiRC's Public
Docueent Room.
11; this report contains any inforrstion that you (or your
contractors) believe to be exenpt from disclosure under 10 CFR 9.5(a)(a), it is
necessary that you (a) notify this office by telephone within ten (10) days from
the date of this letter of your intention to file a request for withholding; and
(b) subnit within 25 days fron the date of this letter a written application to
this o"fice to withhold such infortation.
Consistent with section 2.790(b)(1),
any such application must be acconpanied by an affidavit executed by the owner
of the information which identifies the document or part sought to be withheld,
and which contains a full statenent of the reasons en the basis which it is
claimed that the inferration should be withheld fron public disclosure. This
section further requires the statement to address with specificity the consid-
erations listed in 10 CFR 2.790(b)(4). The in?ornation sought-to be withheld
shall be incorporated as far as possible into a separate part of th'e affidavit.
