Dear Mr. Keppler:

This letter and its attachments are the final report mentioned in Reference (4) on the actions taken to address the concerns of Reference (1) as they apply to the Donald C.' Cook Nuclear Plant.

The total number of masonry walls initially' considered for in-vestigation under the scope of the bulletin was one hundred and forty-four. Of those, only one hundred and thirty (see Reference (4)) were considered to be " safety-related", namely as falling under the scope of Reference (1).

Further evaluation has reduced that number to one hundred and twenty-three walls, as indicated in Attachment A to this submittal.

We also reported in Reference (4) that thirty-nine masonry walls were slated to be modified and that three walls were still under evaluation for pipe break loads. By more appropriate wall classification and safety-related equipment relocation and proper identification, the final number of walls in need of modification has become thirty-four as in-dicated both in attachments A and B to this letter. Attachment 8, in particular, describes the type of modifications implemented in those thirty-four walls.
