Dear Sirs,

a I am writing in response to the recent conflict that place at the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant.

I am in comp 1 te accordance with both the building and activating of the plant so I strongly believe that those who chose to protest its activation should not have done so.

Although my knowledge of Nuclear fission is limited to the basic fundamentals of physics, I still believe that the opinion I have formed is valid.

I base my opinion on the knowledge that I have obtained from two years of Physics courses that I have had.

During these courses,I studied the material in question and was able to comprehend it well enough to conclude that the entire process was relatively safe.

However, because my knowledge was still very minimal, I was not convinced by this data alone. What did convince me were the opinions of my professors.

All four of them had had very extensive educational backgrounds in the subject and all four of them were in complete agreement that Nuclear Power is safe.

One of them took several weeks to schematically go over the accident that occurred at Three Mile Island and prove that there was never really any LcEE2. danger at all.

This and the previous facts that I have stated are the reason that I am,and probably always will be,100% pro-nuclear.

I would also like to state that I believe the several thousand people who chose to protest Diablo Canyon were totally unjustified in doing so.

I feel this way because I believe that those who protested did so because they think Nuclear Power is bad which simply isn't true.

It is my opinion that if anyb one of the protesters were to really sit down and study the subject that he or she would no longer deem it necessary to protest.

Thank you for your time, Sincerely yours, h'N Christopher artney pa88Naa8ih p3 6
