Dear Sir,
I live 26 miles from the San Onofre nuclear plant and I appreciate.the efforts of Southern California Edison in bringing me safe, clean electric power. Oil is too expensive, coal is too poluting for the California climate, and gas is too useful for other products than electric power generation.
Already the start-up date for the plant has been missed and the delays are very costly - one million dollars per day, I believe - - and I am very much aware that I am footing the bill as a ratepayer. 'Ihe sooner the plant is on line the more I shall be pleased.
I urge you, therefore, to proceed with all haste to license the plant.

Dear Sirs:
g p
I support a spoedy licensing of the San v.cfre Nuclear Generating Station Units 1 and 2. I think that it is essential that we proceed with the full use of nuclear power and reduce our dependence on imported oil and thus try to become more energy independent.
Sincerely yours, hM ames R. Brown 4
