During review of Preoperational Test Report 2-FT-703, it was determined that during a sicamic event a direct path Irom the auxiliary building to the environment could be opened via a 3 ft. x 3 ft. pipe chaec which paanes through wall "Al" at elevation 685. Under this condition the Auriliary Lu11 ding Gas Treatment System (ABGTS) would be inoperable Since it could not maintain the required negative % inch pressure.
Apparent _Cause of Occurrence:
Releasca from the auxiliary building to the environtncut due to a sicamic event thraugh this pipe chase van overlooked during initial design.

None Corrective Action Taken or Planned:
The ABCTS vas declared im perable on both units at 1900 CST. The pipe chase vao scaled with RTV foam at 2345 on October 29, 1981; therefore,
