sf Docket No. 50-219 Technical Specifications Change Request No. 99 In accordance with 10 CFR 50.59 and 10 CFR 50.90, Jersey Central Power &
Light Company, owner and operator of the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station, Provisional Operating License No. DPR-16, requests changes to Appendix A of that Iicense.
The subject Technical Speci f ication Change Request to Section 4.7.A.3 requires that each diesel generator be given a thorough inspection at least once per 18 months during shutdown, rather than annually.
I n addition, we have removed the Basis for Section 4.7 that appears on page 4.7-1 and is duplicated on page 4.7-2.
The Technical Specification Change Request has been reviewed and approved by the Plant Operations Review Committee and the Independent Safety Review Group in accordance with Section 6.5 of the Oyster Creek Technical Specifications.
We have determined that this submittal is Class ill per 10 CFR 170.22 and have forwarded a check for $4,000 (Jersey Central Power & Light Company Check No. 000109) pursuant to that section.
