REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REGARDING LOSS OF 0FFSITE POWER EVENT ON SEPTEMBER 14, 1981 - YANKEE-ROWE The NRC staff is conducting a study of " Natural Circulation" for PWR's manufactured by all three NSSS vendors and understands that the Yankee-Rowe plant F.erformed just such a cooldown on September 14, 1981, following a trip and loss of offsite power due to electrical stonns.
We request that you provide the following additional information re-garding the event in order that the staff may continue its study. The data just prior to trip and up to one hour following the event are requested.
1.
Copies of strip charts for:
Feed flow Steam generator level Steam generator pressure Condenser vacuum Primary system temperature Thot Primary system temperature Tcold wide and narrow range Primary system temperatura.
Tavg Pressurize.r level and pressure Primary loop AT 2.
Copies of pro;ess computer printout just prior to reactor trip and for one hour following the event at the preset computer time interval.
