Subject:

LaSalle County Station Units 1 and 2 Proposed Technical Specificaton For Special Test Exceptions NRC Docket Nos. 50-373/374

Dear Mr. Schwencer:

The purpose of this transmittal is to provide a proposed Technical Specification to allow required testing to be performed during the Startup Test Program.

The necessary Technical Specifi-cation and basis are provided for inclusion in the LaSalle Technical Specification.

The Special Test Exception is necessary to relax primary containment requirements to allow performance of the confirmatory flow induced vibration testing required by Regulatory Guides 1.20 and 1.68.

The Special Test Exception is provided based on discussions with Mr. R.

Bottimore during his visit at the LaSalle Site in September.

If there are any questions in this regard, please contact this office.

Very truly yours, bb W
