.1 Module and transmitter tolerances are listed on the data sheet enclosures. A complete set of in-tolerance data on the enclosures constitutes an acceptable running of the procedure.
6.0 TEST PROCEDURE l
NOTE:
The following is a general procedure for calibration of any EPS Channel, including Reactor Coolant Flow, Temp-erature and Ptessure Channels and Rec.ctor Building Pressure switches, and should be followed for all four RPS channels. Minor differences between Reactor Coolant flow and pressure channels for the different RPS channels are noted on the loop forms. A loop calibration will be performed on all ir2trument loops and data recorded on the appropriate data sheet (Enclosure 7.2 thru 7.4).
As Found and As Left data is required on all transmitters. While performing the loop calibration, adjustments should be made, per the Manufacturer's instruction manusl, to obtain the best possible cal'ibration within the i
tolerances specified on the appropriate loop forms. Refer to I-Oll for general calibration guidelines.

MOTE:
Notify the Control Room before beginning
.RPS calibration if the reactor is in operation.
Place the appropriate RPS Channel in the Manual Bypass mode.

.2 Perfors a Loop Calibration on the following loops. Record data on the appropriate loop form.

.1 Reactor Coolant Flow Loops A & B
.1 Isolate the Loop A BY Transmitter and connect the digigauge to its input.
(See Enclosure 7.1)
.2 Remove the transmitter cover and connect a DMM to the transmitter output jacks.

.3 Vary the inpuc pressure as required to obtain an "As Found" set of readings, as read on the'DMM.

.4' Vary the input pressure as required to calibrate the transmitter per Bailey Instructicus E21-17-2.
Record an "As Left" set of readings, as read on the DMM, for entry in the I&C Dept. calibration records.
.5 After transmitter calibration is compete, establish communications with someone stationed at the appropriate RPS channel cabinets in the Control Room. Vary the transmitter input pressure as required and record the RPS cabinet input voltage as read on the DVM on.2A.B C or D.
NOTE:
RPS Channels A and B have input buffer amp-lifiers. Read input ij voltages at input 1 of Buffer Amp. Al-5-4 for RPS Channel A and B1-6-4 for RPS Channel B.

RPS Channels C and D read input voltages at tbs RPS input terminals specified on the Loop Form and Enclosure 7.1.
.6 Disconnect che DMM and re-install the transmitter Cover.
.7 Disconnect the calibrated source from the transmitter input.

' Repeat Steps 6.2.1.1 thru 6.2.1.7 for the Loop B BY Transmitter and record the RPS Cabinet Input Voltage under the B Flow Transmitter column of the Loop Form Data Sheet. For RPS Channels A and B read input voltages at Input 1 of Buffer Amp Al-4-4 for RPS Channel A and B1-5 for RPS Channel B.
Inputs to RPS Cabinets C and D are read at the terminals specified on the Loop Forms.
.9 Place both BY Transmitters back in service.
.10 Disconnect both pairs of BY transmitter leads from the input terminals of the RPS cabinet.
.11 Connect the two 0-10 VDC Power Supplies to the flow inputs of the RPS cabinet (see Enclosure 7.1).
Use the power supplies to recreate the As Left voltages produced by the BY transmitters in Step 6.2.1.5.
Coeplete Enclosure 7.2, using the DVM to measure the voltages required.
.12 Disconnect the power supplies and reconnect the signal leads from the BY transmitters to the input of the RPS cabinet (Refer to Enclosure 7.1 for proper connection points).
.2 Reactor Coolant Pressure Channels
.1 Isolate the pressure transmitter and connect the calibrated pressure supply to the transmittar input (see Enclosure 7.1).
.2 Remove the transmitter cover and cennect the DMM to the 1-5 VDC amplifier test jacks.
.3 Vary the transmitter input pressure as required to ek obtain an "As Found" set of readings, as read on the DMM.
Record the readings for entry in the I&C Dept.

Vary the transmitter input pressure as required to calibrate the transmitter per Westinghouse Instructions 13-101-131. Record an "As Left" set of readings, as tcad on the DMM, for entry in the I&C Dept. calibration records.
.5 After transmitter calibration is complete, establish communications with someone stationed at the appro-priate RPS Channel cabinets in the Control Room.
.6 Vary the transmitter input pressure as required and record the input voltages at input 1 on the RC Pressure Buffer Amp (A2-3-7, B2-6-7, C2-3-10 or D2-6-10),as read on the DVM on Enclosure 7.3.

.7 Discennect the DMM from the transmitter test jacks and re-install the transmitter cover.

.8 Disconnect the calibrated pressure source and place g
t the transmitter back in service.
'. 9 Kemove the transmitter leads from the input terminals of the RPS cabinet (see Enclosure 7.1) and connect a Helipot Precision Potentiometer in,their place.
.10 Using the potentiometer connected in series with the transmitter power supply, vary the Loop Current to reproduce the voltages recorded in Step 6.2.6 above.
Compl'ete Enclosure 7.3A, B, C or D as required using the DVM to measure the voltages required.

.11 Check the trip point voltage of the Shutdown Bypass, Low Pressure, and High Pressure bistable modules by first adjusting the Helipot to a value which allows the Bistable being checked to be raset, then varying the Helipot until the bistable trips.
.12 Using the DVM, measure the Bistable Trip Point voltage at the input jack and the setpoint voltage at the setpoint jack on each Bistable module. Record these voltages on page 2 of Enclosure 7.3A, B,C or D.
.13 Disconnect the Helipot and reconnect the signal leads from the pressure transmitter to the input of the RPS cabinet.
(Refer to Enclosure 7.1 for proper connection point).

.14 Reset all tripped Pressure Bistable Modules (Shutdown,
Bypass bistable will not reset when Reactor is at power and the Low Pressure Bistable will not reset when Reactor is shutdown).
.3 RCS Temperature Channel
.1 Disconnect the RTD leads from the RPS cabinet terminals and connect a decade box in its place. (See Enclosure 7.1)
.2 Adjust the decade box for the resistances required to complete Enclosure 7.4 A,B, C or D as required. Use the DVM to measure the voltages required.
.3 Disconnect the decade box and reconnect the RTD leads to the RPS cabinet terminals. (Refer to Enclosure 7.1 for proper connection points)
.3 Reactor Building Pressure Channels
.1 Verify that the appropriate Reactor Building Pressure Contact
' Buffer for the channel being tested is reset.
.2 Isolate the Mercoid pressure switch and connect the cali-brated pressure test source to its input.
.3 Remove the pressure switch cover. and connect the VOM to the pressure switch output terminals to monitor the trippoint.
.4 Slowly increase the input pressure to the pressure switch until it trips, as indicated on the VOM.
Record data on.5 in the "As Found" trippoint colu=n.
.5 Decrease the input pressure to the pressure switch until it resets, as indicated on the VrM.
Record data on Enclosure 7.5 in the "As Found" reset column.
.6 If necessary, recalibrate the pressure switch per Mercoid Instructions 0-527, and record the data in the "As Left" columns of Enclosure 7.5.

.7 Afte'r pressure switch calibration is completed, establish communications with someone stationed at the RPS Channel cabinets in the Control Roem. Verify and note by initialing.5 that the RB Pressure Contact Buf fer module has tripped.
.8 Reset the RB Pressure Contact Buffer by pressing and releasing the reset switch. Verify the Irput State lamps (2) go off. Note reset on Enclosure 7.5.
.9 Remove the calibrated pressure supply and VON from the Mercoid pressure switch, replace the cover and valve the pressure switch ir.io service.
.4 Place the manual bypass ' key switch in normal position. Lock the RPS cabinet (s), return key (s) to Shift Supervisor and Laform him that the calibration of the RPS Channel is complete.
