ATTACHMENT Revisions to Form 189 (dated July 7, 1981) B-2217 1.
Page 8, lines 4 to 6--This sentence shall read:
" Engineering assessments will be required for those propeVties where the average grab working level exceeds 0.033 W.L., or the annual average working level exceeds 0.015 W.L. or the gama exposure rate exceeds 20 aR/hr above background, or the radium-226 in soil exceeds 5 pCi/g."

Page 8, Task J-Test of Track Etch Devices (new)-- Delete this task from the proposed work schedule and in its place, substitute the mini-engineering assessments as included in the last paragraph under Task G (page 7). The projected funding levels for Task J of
$15 K for FY81 and $9K for FY82 should be applied directly to the mini-engineering assessments rather than for the proposed Track Etch study.

Page 9, Task K-Calibration of Track Etch Devices at Ambient Levels (New)--Delete this task from the proposed work schedule. Apply the projected funding level of $10K for FY82 for Task K to the mini-engineering assessments.
4 Page 9, Task L-Final Report--This task shall remain the same; however, the above substitution of the mini-engineering assessments as Task J and the deletion of the proposed calibration of Track Etch Devices results in a change of:
" Task K - Final Report".

Page 11, Item 26--In order to expedite the mini and full engineering
. assessment programs, BPNL is authorized to purchase a pressurized ionization chamber ($8K) and, an additional well logging system
($14K). This total of $22K of FY82 funds should be included in the I
total program cost estimates given in item #15 Cost and Development Schedule.
Therefore, the total operation cost for FYS2 would be
$498K, versus the $476K as listed, for a total estimated program cost of 5986K, versus the $964K as listed.
