The Commission has issued the enclosed Amenument No.
to Facility Operating License No. DPR-6 for the Big Rock Point Plant. This amendment consists of changes to the Technical Specifications in response to your application dated September 25, 1980, and supplements thereto dated March 5, 1981, and September 18, 1981.
The amendment approves changes to the Technical Specifications to incorporate certain TMI-2 Lessons Learned Category "A" Requirements.
These requirements concern (1) Emergency Power Supply / Inadequate Core Cooling (2) Valve Position Indication, (3) Containment Isolation, (4)
Integrity of Systems.0utside Containment, and (5) Iodine Monitoring.
The Commission previously issued Amendment No. 46 dated Septembe' 3, r
1981, which authorized changes to the Technical Specifications which included the Shift Technical Advisor requirement.
During our review of your application we found it necessary to modify two proposed Technical. Specifications. We have discussed the changes with your representative and have mutually agreed upon them.
Copies of our'related Safety Evaluation and the Notice of Issuance are also enclosed.
