GDeegan This co.ifims our telephone authorization given on September 28, 1981, for a one-time extension from requimments of Technical Specifications for the Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant, Unit No. 2, as requested by telecopy letter dated September 28, 1981. Facility Operating License NPF-8 is amended as proposed by Alabama Power Company in the September 28,1981 letter.
However, the telephone authorization grants additional time for diesel generator 2C to be out of service for mpair until midnight on October 1,1981 pending our further action. The change also extends the surveillance interval on the remaining operable dies 61 generators and the outage allowed for diesel generator IC.
Copies of the license amendment, our safety evaluation, and the Federal Register notice will be sent to you when coupleted.
