.. J I

The Westinghouse Electric Corporation hereby requests an exemption from provisions of 10 CFR 70.57(b)(11) in order that we may follow the third paragraph of Section 4.5.1 of our FNMC plan identified in License Condition 2.1 until November 1,1981.

This minimum delay would allow our control charti,ng of all control program measurements to begin with our new inventory period which starts on November 1, 1981. Our :emiannual physical inventory of Special Nuclear Materials is scheduled for October 31, 1981.

This request is for an additional extension in time (from 9/30/81 to 10/31/81) for exemption from the provisions of 10 CFR 70.57(b)(il).

Our initial request for this exemption was dated June 25, 1981 and was granted by your letter dated July 6, 1981.

It has been determined that this exemption will not adversely affect the common defense and security or the health and safety of the public.

The fee for this request for exemption to regulations as required in 10 CFR 170 is enclosed.

If you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact me at the above l
