Catawba Nuclear Station Unit 1 Fuel Pool Gates Gentlemen:
It has been determined by us that defective welds on fuel pool gates manufactured by us for Catawba Unit 1 ray be a potentially reportable item under the requirements of Part 21 of title 10, chapter 1, CFR.
Corrective action, replacement of the welded structural items, has been recommended to the purchaser of the gates, Duke Power Company.
