SEP TOPIC VI-10. A. TESTING OF REACTOR TRIP SYSTEM AND ENGINEERED SAFETY FEATURES, INCLUDING RESPONSE TIME TESTING, SAFETY EVALUATION FOR MILLSTONE 1 is our contractor's technical evaluation for this topic. Our contractor's report has been modified to reflect the coments provided in your August 4,1981 letter. is the staff safety evaluation that is bat,ed upon Enclosure 1. proposes modifications to the Technical Specifications to implement a response time testing program and to increase some test feequencies.
The need to actually implement these changes will be determined during the integrated safety assessment. This topic assessment may be revised in the future if your facility design is changed or if HRC criteria relating to this topic are modified before the integrated assessment is completed.
