l I e writing you to let you kncv of c:y opposition to the opening of the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant. My reasons for this stance are as follows:
(1) because of the expense of the plant itself - it has increased in expense greatly fron its original cost.
(2) due to the location of the plant - in close proxinity to an earthquake fault.
(3) because the noney used to run this plant could be put to nore productive use, such as solar and wind power, which are not nearly as great a threat to the environnent.
I urge you not to license this plant, taking into consideration the above concerns which are shared by a great nunber of U.S. citizens (and fellow world inhabitants.
I'ai certain you will be reninded of this when protests are crganized in the near future. Your response is appreciated.
