Mr. R. L. Haueter Change No. 18 Assistant Electric Production License No. DPR-6 Superintendent - Nuclear Gentlemen:
Your Proposed Change No. 18 to the Technical Specifications of Facility License No. DPR-6, transmitted by letter da.:ed February 12, 1969, requests that the Technical Specifications be changed to permit operation of the Big Rock Point Nuclear Reactor with four " Modified E-G" fuel bundles each containing up to 24 removable fuel rods.
We have reviewed the proposed changa. and have found that it does not prcPent significant hazards considerations not described or implicit la the safety analysis report and that there is reasonable assurance that the health and safety of the public will not be endangered by the operation of.the Big Rock Point Nuclear Reactor with " Modified E-G" fuel bundler in the core. A copy of our related Safety Evaluatio? is enclosed.
Accordingly, pursuant to Section 50.59 of 10 CFR Part 50, the Technical Specifications of Facility License No. DPR-6 are hereby changed as set forth in Attachment A to this letter.
