g This refers to the telephone conversation between yourself.and Mr. Thomas T.
Martin, Acting Director, Division of engineering and Technical Inspection on September 29, 1981 regarding your possession of 11:.ensable material contained as a sealed source in a gauge which you are not authorized to possess.
With regard to this matter, we understand that you have taken or will take the following actions:
1.
Ceasa all use 0f the gauge containing the cobalt-60 source.
2.
Place the gauge containing the source in storage until such time as you are licensed by the NRC to possess and use this device.
We further understand that on September 1, 1981, you filed a license application with the Materials Lkensing Branch of the USNRC for authorizction to possess and use this device.
If our understanding of your planned actions, as described above, is not in accordance wit:; the actions being implemented, please contact this office by telephone and in writing within 24 hours2.777778e-4 days <br />0.00667 hours <br />3.968254e-5 weeks <br />9.132e-6 months <br /> of your receipt of this letter.
