'A We have reviewed your July 21, 1981 request for !!RC concurrence in delaying the use of the ODYll transient code on Millstone Unit No. I until the refeling analyses for the first reloads following January 1982.
The Nhc staff has concluded that tM requested delay can be permitted for those plants that can be demonstrated in have scran times bounded by the ODYll Option B scran time distribution.
Therefore, !!ortheast Nuclear Energy Cocpany nay defer submittal of an ODYtl analyses for flillstone Unit I until the first reload following January 1,1982 if scran times are Lounded by CDYM Option B.
Pier.se confirm that Option 0 applies to 11111 stone Unit 40. I within 30 days from receipt of this letter.
