ANSWER OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS TO NRC STAFF'S t

l MOTION FOR A PROTECTIVE ORDER REGARDING THE PRODUCTION OF DOCUMENTS On July 1, 1981 the Commonwealth served its First Set of Requests for Documents from the NRC Staff Relative to Emergency Planning.

On August 5, 1981, the NRC Staff filed its Response to those requests and a Motion for a Protective Order, which response and motion incorporated the Staf f's objections as pre-viously filed to the Commonwealth's Interrogatories to the l

Staff Relative to Emergency Planning.

For the reasons outlined in its Answer to the Staff's Motion for a Protective Order regarding the emergency planning interrogatories, the Commonwealth asks the Board to overrule l

l the Staff's objections to its document requests except those raising claims of work product privilege.
