Dear Mr. O'Reilly:

On July 10, 1980, your office was informed of an incident which inw ived a disagreement with predicted reactivity values of greater than 1% ALlK, observed during the startup of Geonee Unit 1.

Reportable Occurrence Report R0-269/80-23, providing details of the incident, was to have been submitted by July 23, 1980. However, investigation of the incident is not complete.

It is expected that the report will be submitted no later than August 6, 1980.
