Dear Mr. Stolz:
In your letter of July 22, 1980, concerning ASME Section XI, you authorized Florida Power Corporation to use Subsection IWC-5220 of the Winter Addenda to the 1977 Edition of ASME Section XI for a specific modification to the makeup and purification system only.

This letter requests that Florida Power Corporation be granted a generic relief from the requirements of Article IWC 5000 Subsection IWC-5220 of the 1;'4 Edition through Sumter 1975 Addenda of ASME Section X1.
We wish to generically adopt for use in our inservice inspection program, Subsection IWC-5220 of the Winter 1977 Addenda to the ASME Section XI 1977 Editica.
1 Florida Power Corporation maintains the position that the r.,ser subsection provides the realistic and practical guidelines necessary for defining system hydrostatic test pressure requirements.
