q By letter dated June 10, 1981, you requested withdrawal of your December 31, 1979 license application for the propr. sed Alabana Nuclear Fuel Fabrication Facility.
An application fee of $12,000 was submitted with the application in accordance with fee Category 19 of Section 170.31 of 10 CFR 170.
Under 10 CFR 170, it is Commission practice to recover review costs using the procedure of Footnote 4 of 10 CFR 170.31, when the review of the application is conplete. The review of your application was completed as of June 10,1981, and we have determined the actual expenditures for professional manpower and contractual costs from the date the application was filed to the date of withdrawal. The actual costs for the review are $191,941. liowever, the maximum charge for review of a new license application in fee Category 1B is limited to $124,800 ($1"1.000 applicaticn fee plus $112,800 new license fee). Since you have paid the $12,000 application fee, the additional fee of 5112,800 is now due and payable to the Commission.
We have notified the NRC Office of the Controller to issue your Company an invoice for $112,800 to cover a portion of the Commission's review costs.
