Dear Ms. Mincer:
This is in reply to your letter dated June 17, 1981, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, copies of documents which indicate the spent fuel routes approved by the NRC since the DRAFT NUREG-0725 was issued by the NRC in September 1980.
In my letter to you dated July 8,1981 which responded to your earlier request for route information concerning spent fuel shipments, which we designated as F0IA-81-216, I infonned you that:
"the NRC's publication NUREG-0750," (corrected number NUREG-0725)
"Public Information Circular for Shipment of Irradiated Reactor Fuel, which contains maps of the routes used for spent fuel shipments, is currently undergoing its first revision and it is scheduled to be published in August,1981."
I have been informed by the staff working on Revision 1 to NUREG-0725, that the infonnation required to update this publication is currently being compiled, and that the NRC staff expects to publish Revision 1 as soon as it is completed (expected about August 1981).
We will forward a copy of Revision 1 to you when it becomes available.
