-Dear Mr. Tuetken:

SUBJECT:

ROUTINE RESIDENT INSPECTION REPORT

This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by J. D. Smith,

March 23 through April 26, 1994. The inspection included a review of-

activities authorized for your Zion Nuclear Generating Station. At the

of your staff identified in the enclosed report.

Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the report. Within

these areas, the inspection consisted of a selective examination of procedures

The

purpose of the inspection was to determine whether activities authorized by

Based on the results of this inspection, certain of your activities appeared

to be in violation of NRC requirements.

However, as described in the enclosed

inspection report (section 7), you identified the violation. -Therefore, the

violation will not be subject to enforcement action because your efforts in

]

.
