The schedule allows for the staff to issue a possible request for additional information by February 21, 2020, and issue the exemption by the end of May 1, 2020, based on you responding to a request for additional information by March 13, 2020. If no additional information is needed, the exemption may be issued by Mid-April 2020. The staff estimates that completing the safety review of this application will require approximately 100 staff hours, 50 hours5.787037e-4 days
0.0139 hours
8.267196e-5 weeks
1.9025e-5 months
for each exemption. Please note that this schedule and estimate of staff hours presumes that U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) accepts the use of the categorical exclusion for issuance of this exemption, which is still under discussion within the NRC.

L-2020-LLE-0003 for the McGuire exemption and Docket Number: 72-45 and Enterprise Project Identifier Number: L-2020-LLE-0004 for the Catawba exemption in future correspondence related to this request. If you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact me at (301) 415-6577.
