On April 7,1993, Duke Power Company submitted an application to revise the Technical Specifications (TS) for the Catawba and McGuire Nuclear Stations to reflect the requirements of the recently revised 10 CFR Part 20. Subsequently, the NRC staff published a proposed Generic Letter for public comment, " Guidance for Modification of Technical Specifications to Reflect (A)
Revisions to 10 CFR Part 20,' Standards for Protection Against Radiation' and 10 CFR 50.36a, Technical Specifications on Efiluents from Nuclear Power Reactors, ' (B) Related Current Industry Initiatives, and (C) Miscellaneous Related Editorial Clarifications, " and conducted a summary review of our application and identified several areas in the TS Administrative Control section that were not consistent with the revised regulations in 10 CFR Part 20. In view of these inconsistencies, Duke Power would like to withdraw the April 7,1993, application and we will resubmit after resolution of the inconsistencies.
