The United States Nucitar Regulatory Commiission (the Commission) has granted the request of Duke Power Company, et al. (the licensee) to withdraw its July 26, 1988, and April 23, 1990 applications for proposed amendments to Facility Operating License Nos. NPF-35 and NPF-52 for the Catawba Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2, located in York County, South Carolina.
The proposed amendswents would have revised the following Technical J
Specifications (TSs): (1) 3/4.7.6 regarding the control room area ventilation system, (2) 4.9.4.2 regarding the containment purge system, (3) 3/4.6.1.8 regarding the annulus ventilation system, and (4) 3/4.7.7 regarding the auxiliary building filtereo exhaust system. The associated Bases for t
TSs 3/4.6.1.8, 3/4.7.6 and 3/4.7.7 also would have been revised.
The Commission has previously issued Notices of Consideration of Issuance of Amendments published in the FEDERAL REGISTER on November 16, 1988-q (53 FR 46142) and May 16,1990(55FR20353). However, by letters dated August 30, 1990 and May 23, 1990, and two letters dated June 13, 1990, i
respectively, the licensee withdrew the proposed amendments.
