NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT TO i
FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Comission (Comission) has issued Amendment 4
No. 47 to Facility Operating License No. NPF-62, issued to Illinois Power Company and Soyland Power Cooperative, Inc. (the licensee), which revised the Technical Specifications for operation of the Clinton Power Station, Unit No. 1 (thefacility),locatedinDeWittCounty, Illinois. The amendment was effective as of the date of issuance.
This amendment revised the Technical Specifications (TS) to remove the requirementforisolationoftheContainmentMonitoring(CM)andProcess Sampling (PS) Systems upon a Containment Building Exhaust High Radiation signal.
The application for the amendment complies with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954 as amended (the Act), and the Comission's rules and regulations. The Comission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Comission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter 1, which are set forth in the license amendment.
