that the acoustical monitoring system, for direct indication of relief and safety valve position (NUREG-0737, Item II.D.3), is undergoing seismic and environmental qualification by the vendor pa an approved owner's group test j
plan.
This response also stated that the test is scheduled for completion in

the Fall of 1982, 1
Babcock and Wilcox has informed Vepco that the seismic and environmental qualification of the acoustical monitoring system is still undergoing test plan development by the owner's group.
The completion of the owner's group test plan and the seismic and environmental qualification of the acoustical monitoring system is currently scheduled for July 31, 1983.
This completion date agrees with the Commission's revised date of the second refueling outage beginning after March 31, 1982 for the environmental qualification of safety I
related electrical equipment.
The status of NUREG-0737 Item II.D.3 will be updated in revision 4 of NUREG-0737 which is scheduled for completion by March 31, 1983.
