(1) SNM-1168, Docket 70-1201 Gentlemen:

As discussed earlier with Mr. Harry Bartz of your staff, the Babcock and Wilcox Company, Commercial Nuclear Fuel Plant requcsts a fourteen (14) day extension in the time set forth in Section 70.51(e)(4), to complete a physical inventory. The extension is needed because of sample turn-around problems with the Apollo lab. The Apollo lab shut down for one week and experienced trouble restarting some equipment.

The requested extension will allow the physical inventory to be completed in accord with the provisions of 10 CFR 70.51.

Accordingly, Check No. 25137 was mailed to cover the administrative licensing fee.

Thank you for your rompt attention to this matter.
