Dear Mr. Haynes:

09) conducted at Nine Mile Point Unit #1 on June 16-18, 1982, we informed members of your staff that our planned initial qualification test would include the same physical examination and agility.

The purpose of this letter is to inform you of a change to our testing methods.

The initial hiring of a perspective employee is based upon passing all of the following:

1.

Aptitude test 2.

Physical examination by a doctor, in accordance with NFPA 1001.

3.

Fire Fighters Fitness Test - NFPA 1001.

Re qualification, as a fireman, is required on an annual-basis. The re qualification program consists of the following:

1 Physical examination, by a doctor, in accordance nith' NFPA 1001.

2.

Guard Physical Fitness, Qualification Test T

The Guard Physical Fitness, Qualification Test is the same test as the security personnel at Niagara Mohawk are required to take. We believe that this annual re qualification agility. test is sufficient to indicate that a fireman has maintained adequate fitness to perform strenuous work.
