Degraded Grid Voltage Protection

Dear Sir:

In Reference (b), the NRC Staff concurred with the Yankee design for degraded grid voltage protection. Reference (b) requested that YAEC submit a schedule for supplying operator procedures, the design details for diesel generator load shedding and final Technical Specifications.

Yankee will submit operator procedures, the design details for diesel generator load shedding and technical specifications at least three months prior to placing the protection scheme in service.

Installation is scheduled for the 1984 refueling outage.
