Subject:
Physical Security of Special Nuclear Material, Docket 70-25 Your letter of January 29, 1982, stated that our local written instruc-tions for searching personnel entering the enriched-uranium fuel fabri-cation area were consistent with the search procedures considered and agreed upon during a series of discussions with the safeguards licensing staff of our upgraded physical security program. You also pointed out that these search requirements were not clearly reflected in our Physical Security Plaa and requested that we revise Section 3.5.1.2 of the plan, namely, AI-74-5, Revision A, to include this information.
The revisions have been made in the form of replacenent pages for insertion into copies of our approved Special Nuclear Material Physical Security Plan. Changes on these replacement pages are indicated by vertical bars in the right-hand margins of the pages. Ten copies of the revised pages are enclosed for your information. We are reporting the changes in this letter and in the revised pages as required in 10 CFR Section 70.32(e).
