Request Number 1 for Additional information on G+#-FSD 2538 We are currently reviewing the Gulf + Western Manufacturing Company licensir.g topical report number G+W-FSD 2538 entitled " Nuclear Main Steam Isolation Valve Systems" dated January 1979.

The initial review reveals the need for the additional information indicated in the enclosure.

Our objective is to accept the report - issue the safety evaluation report -

this fiscal year, i.e., by September 30, 1983. In order to accomplish th s objective, we must receive your response to this request as soon as possible but no later than February 1983. Please. advise us of your planned submittal j
