Dear Mr. Denton:
In references (a) and (b), Commonwealth Edison submitted license amendment requests to incorporate the pump and valve inservice testing requirements o f 10 CFR 50.55a for Zion Station.
At the NRC's request, the format was revised and the request was resubmitted in reference (d).
In reference (e), the NRC approved the Zion Inservice Inspection (ISI) Program.
However, the NRC indicated that the Inservice Testing (IST) Program for pumps and valves was still under review and would be approved in a separate license amendment.
During the review of the Zion IST Program, the NRC identi-fled the need for certain changes to the program.
These changes were submitted in references (f) and (g).
Because reference (c) had 1
previously directed Zion to implement the proposed program (except where current Technical Specifications were more restrictive) in advance of the NRC's approval, Zion has been following the program, as modified by the revisions submitted in references (f) and (g).

H. R. Denton November 10, 1982 The Attachment to this letter provides additional revisions to Zion's IST Program.
The revisions incorporate additional safety valves which were not previously ' included in the program.
Also provided are corrections to certain valve stroke times.
The corre c-tions and additions have been made in accordance with the provisions of the ASME Code Section XI, 1974 Edition through Summer 1975 Addenda.
Please address questions regarding this matter to this office.
