We have completed our review of the design changes you are making to meet Farley 2 License Condition 2.C.(19)(c). The changes are being made during the first refueling outage on Joseph fi. Farley Unit 2 as you indicated in your letter dated September 21, 1981. This schedule is acceptable.
Design cht.7ges affect the lubricating oil system of diesel generators (DG) 1C and 2C, the Fairbanks-Morse opposed-piston DG's.
Based on our review of your design modifications, we conclude that you have satisfied the license requirements for an adequate lubrication supply to all DG bearings to prevent a dry start when automatically starting these DG's.
Therefore, License Condition 2.C.(19)(c) is considered to be satisfactorily completed. The condition will be deleted from the license in a subsequent routine manner. Our Safety Evaluation is enclosed.
