Enclosed is a check for $12,300 as requested by a letter from your staff dated August 31, 1978. A review of the proposed license amendment by my staff indicates the amenduent should be classified as a Class III amendment instead of a Class IV.
This determination is based on the fact that the amendment is addressing a single issue; the. acceptability of the issue is clearly defined
' by an NRC position and will require a minimal effort by your staff to evaluate.
It is therefore requested that these considerations be taken into account in making the final evaluation of this license amendment.
