SUBJECT:
SAFETY EVALUATION REIDRT FOR THE CATAWBA NUCLEAR STATION UNITS 1 AND 2, STEAM GENERATOR TUBE RUPTURE ANALYSIS (TAC NOS, 66753 AND 66754)
In accordance with Condition 2.C(16) of Facility Operating License No. NPF-35 for Catawl i Unit I and Condition 2.C(10) of Facility Operating License No. NPF-5. for Catawba Unit 2, the Duke Power Company has forwarded additional information and analyses for the Steam Generator Tube Rupture Accident as identified in the References Section of the Enclosure. The staff has completed its review of this information and concludes that the Duke Power Company has met the requirements of these conditions to the licenses for Catawba Units 1 and 2, subject to completion of a commitment as discussed in the enclosed Safety Evaluation.
A copy of the staff's Safetv Evaluation for this matter is provided in the Enclosure. This completes the staff's action on the subject Catawba Steam Generator Tube Rupture Analvsis, and closes TAC Nos. 66753 and 66754 Sincerely,
