- However, to accommodate the unusual situations which are beyond your ability to control and need prompt licensing action, we have established a procedure l
that asy be used during off working hours, i.e., nights, weekends and I
i holidays, to assure that you will be able to contact a representat ive from the Division of Operating kcactors.
By licensing actions we mean those activities on which you would normally contact the Project Manager during normal business hours, such as for aniendment s to your license, including technical specifications, or interpretations of your license.
Nothing in this new procedure is intended to replace your notification j
procedures concerning reportable events.
You chould continue to notify I
the NRC rerional of fice of all such events in accordance with applicable I
reporting requireovents.
You should always first attempt to contact your Operatinf. Reactors Project Manager on any licensing nat ter.
If justified j
by the urgenci of the matter, you may reach him during of f working hours by calling the WC operator on 301-492-7000, ident ifylop yourself and i
asking to have the phone call transferred to the home of the Project Hanager for your f aif lity by giving his name. For those occasions when I
the Project Manager is et available, and the problem cannot valt for f
the next business day, you may then ask the NRC operator to connect you j
to the " Operating Reactors Duty Officer". We have initiated a system p
whereby a Duty Of ficer will always be on call during of f working hours.
This individual is responsible for taking appropriate action to resolve urgent licensing actions when the Project Manager is not available.
