The Mecklenburg County Board of County Comissioners desires to participate in the hearings on the Catawba Nuclear Station as an official observer, pursuant to paragraph 2.715(c) of the rules and regulations of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
The Board has designated Mr. Donald R. Willard to be its official observer and spokesman in these hearings. Mr. Kenneth D. Williams will participate with Mr. Willard. All written consmunications and documentation should be addressed to Mr. Donald R. Willard, Department of Environmental Health, 1200 Blythe Boulevard, Charlotte, North Carolina, 28203.
By a copy of this letter, the Board is also requesting that the Secretary for Docketing and service send the above official representative and the County Manager a copy of all documents which have been filed in connection with the Catawba Nuclear Station hearings.
Additionally, the Board requests that a copy of the official rules and regulations for the hearings which include paragraph 2.715(c) be sent to the official observer and the County Manager.
