Dear Sir:

The NRC was notified of a potentially reportable deficiency in Reference (A).

Interim Reports were transmitted by References (B) and (E), and Time Extensions were requested by References (C) and (D). Reference (E) gave an estimate that a Final Report would be available by July 25, 1983.

Due to the extensive investigation and evaluation required, it is now expected that this information will be finalized by October 20, 1983, when a complete report will be submitted.

There is no new information or change to the Interim Report at this time, t,"~~4
