Security Plan at the Indian Point Nuclear Generating Plant, Unit No. 3 (IP-3)
We are in receipt of your letter of. Jure 15, 1983 regarding the above subject at IP-3.
In essence, clarification of 'the effective date of your security plan was sought.
In consonance with paragraph G. of your license (No. DPR-64) you made changes to your security plan pursuant to the authority of 10 CFR 50.54(p). There-fore, your revised plan submitted by letter dated May 14, 1982 as amended by your letter of August 9,1982,)is now in effect.
According to your license NRC approval of 10 CFR 50.54(p changes is not required, and, as such, amend-ing your license is not necessary.
Since your revised plan was approved on October 27, 1982 final implementation should be accomplished prior to October 1984. However, there was uncertainty regarding this effective date that may result in the comp 4"on of certain j
f tems after October 1984. Therefore, you are requested to resubmit for NRC review your implementation schedule and to provide justification for those specific items which have completion dates beyond October 1984.
