fiOTICE OF A PUBLIC MEETING RELATED TO THE ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEU OF THE BRAIDWOOD STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2 Notice is hereby given that a public meeting will be held Tuesday, August 23, 1983, relating to the application for operating licenses for the Braidwood Station, Units 1 and 2.

The application was submitted to the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Comission by Commonwealth Edison Company, 4

applicant and owner. The Braidwood Station is located in Reed Township, Will County, Illinois, approximately twenty miles south-southwest of Joliet, Illinois.

The meeting will be held in Braceville City Hall, Mitchell & Main Streets, Braceville, Illinois on August 23, 1983 commencing at 7:30 p.m.

The meeting is open to members of the public and gives them an opportunity to express views on environmental concerns to NRC staff members who are beginnir.g the environmental impact review of the Braidwood Station application for operating licenses.

NRC staff members who will attend the meeting include Thomas M. Novak, Assistant Director for Licensing, B. J. Youngblood, Licensing Branch Chief and Janice A. Stevens, Project Manager, all from the NRC's Office of the Nuclear Reactor Regulation, and a representative from the Office of the Executive Legal Director. Other NRC staff members involved in the environmental impact review will be in attendance.
