Dear Mr. Denton:
Long Island Lighting Company hereby submits its License Application, consisting of Revision 30 to the Final Safety Analysis Report.
The following significant items are included in this revision:
1)
Change to correct discrepancies identified by the Shoreham Plant Configuration Review Program for the following systems:

Reactor vessel low pressure and high drywell pressure setpoints per G.E.
drawing 913E761 (Section 6.3 and T.7.3.1-1 page 1) were revised.

Figure 9.2.3-A was revised,
" Demineralized Water Makeup System".

Table 6.2.3-2 was revised in response to NRC review of Shoreham's compliance with RG,1.52 as described in Section 6.2 of the FSAR.

Section 3.6 and Appendix 3C were revised due to modifications to the piping failure analyses, primarily to reflect the re-vised pipe rupture locations resulting from the updated stress evaluations.
The stress evaluations now incorporate the Mark II hydrodynamic loads and the as-built piping configurations.

Section 11.2.2.4 was revised to allow completion of the regenerant evaporator.
8)
Sections II.K.l.22 and II.K.3.22 were revised to reflect auto-matic RCIC suction and automatic transfer.
9)
Table 6.2.4-1 sheet 8 of 10 was revised to show control systems division utilized a spare mechanical penetration.

Section 13.1.2.4 was revised to reflect correct Shift Crew Complement 11)
Section 3.1.2.1 was revised to conform to our commitment in SNRC-854 dealing with nonsafety-related structures, systems and components.
12)
Figures 5.5-7-3A&B and 7.3.1-10A&B were corrected to show proper drawing reference location ~ markers.
13)
Section 1.1 was revised to describe the level of detail provided in the FSAR.
14). Figures 8.3.2-9A,B and C were revised due to loading changes on the 125V batteries.
15)
Section 6.2.4.3.2 was revised to reflect as-built conditions of the plant.
16)
Section 9.5 was revised to describe 'the portions of CO2 dedicated 'for fire protection and for purging the turbine generator.

Responses to NRC requests 223.88, 223.99 and 223.100 on ESF Resets were updated per letter SNRC-901.
-The above items reflect FSAR closure of concerns identified in the course 'of NRC staff and LILCO review of the Shoreham ' license application and I&T. on-site engineering review.
Three signed originals of Amendment 48 and an additional sixty-(60) copies are being transmitted herewith.
